For
I have always been a big fan or her work. She is amazing, so this is my attempt at sort of giving something back. Hope you like it.
This is a picture that I have been planning for a long time. I have only recently felt good enough to try it.
Here we have crazdudes character (the grey wolf), and my character Floyd (the black one) just basically having a good time and running in a field. Strange idea, but I wanted them to be having fun. The one in my head is way better, but I don't think this is too bad.
Looks stormy, doesn't it?
Both the wolves have things in common, anyway. Both have purple eyes and necklaces. Strange...
It did take a while to do. I think the hardest was actually the face. But he wasn't nearly as hard as Craz Wolf was - I suppose it's because I am not used to drawing her... This pose was not what I was going to do, either, but I suppose it works out OK.
Glad you like it

OMG bub!! EEE!! This is so prettyyyy and Craz-wolf and Floyd running together makes me wanna run right now! It's perfect! My markings, my necklace, the background, EVERYTHING! Love the lush green grass and the mildly stormy sky...reminds me of my college campus most of the time! And that is pretty crazy about the purple eyes and necklaces! I never really realized it before, but maybe that's why I love Floyd's design so much!
And your sweet words in your description make me wanna do THIS! You're too sweet! Thank you soooooo much, bub! You freaking rock!
Nice work on the form and proportions as always, I should really try doing backgrounds sometime, perhaps I'm too scared to try. Not my thing really, though I'd love to use that grass tool at some point.
My only suggestion is perhaps trying a shadow underneath the characters? Might give it a lil more depth and ensure they don't look like cut-outs. Blending a character with a scene is the hardest part, I think...
Sorry I've been a bit silent lately, been going through an artistic 'slump', as it were.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
